Mission

New Heights Summer Camp provides young people with a fun camp experience that helps them build a stronger relationship with the LORD.  Surrounded by Christ-like adults, boys and girls ages 8-18 are challenged to stretch themselves and explore their identity in Christ.  At New Heights, young people participate in activities that develop skills, knowledge, and God-grounded confidence enabling them to meet the challenges of life.

Camp Mattatuck, New Height’s host site, is a huge campground.  Most staff and all campers do a great deal of walking every day.  Some children are surprised by this, so we would advise parents to talk to their child about being prepared to walk.  Also, all campers sleep in platformed tents in campsites in wooded areas, supervised by staff.  (Click here for photos). Sleeping in tents is part of the New Heights experience, helping campers build character, teamwork, and self-confidence.  At the same time, we realize the accommodations can cause anxiety for those not accustomed to the outdoors.  Our staff cleans the campsites prior to camp, however, it is impossible to remove all spiders , insects, and sounds.  Please take steps to prepare your child for this great opportunity for personal growth.

Tuition

Full camp tuition is $250.  If you register before December 31, 2017, you qualify for the Early Bird rate of $200.  A non-refundable $25 deposit will be collected when you register to secure the camper’s slot.  Tuition includes food, lodging and shirts issued at camp.  Each individual is responsible for all transportation to and from camp. Registration closes on June 30, 2018.  New Heights Summer Camp will not accept any late registrations.  This will be strictly enforced.  Please provide yourself with ample time before the registration deadline in case you encounter difficulties.

Scholarship Information

Cost should never be a reason to not attend New Heights.  We provide families with the ability to pay their tuition over several installments.  This option is offered during registration.  We also offer scholarships to families in need. Please contact us for more information about financial aid.  We also offer sibling discounts: second child, $50 off (automatically applied); third child, $100 off; fourth or higher child, free.  If you are registering three or more children, please contact us and we will be happy to apply the discount to your account.  Please contact us if you have any questions.

Cell Phones & Electronics

New Heights Summer Camp provides a transformational experience for young people (and adults) and we would like our campers to be fully present.  As a result, campers are not allowed to bring cell phones and other electronics (i.e. handheld video games, iPods, DVD/Blu Ray players, etc.).  Electronics discovered at camp will be confiscated until the last day, and New Heights is not liable for any lost or damaged devices. Counselors, administrators, and other staff have cell phones that campers can use to occasionally call home.  Cell phones are not allowed to be used as flashlights, cameras, alarm clocks, etc.  A documentation team is available to take photos on demand and make them available to campers, however, we will allow campers to bring inexpensive cameras.   Please support this policy so each camper can get the full New Heights experience.
